Extensive clearing of invasive plants from 20 acres along the banks of the Mamaroneck River and upland areas. Revegitated flood plain by hydroseeding upland grass areas. Planted native trees to reforest entire area.
Worked with US Army Corps of Engineers and NYC Parks Department to restore nine acres of salt marsh and 17 acres of grassland on Jamaica Bay. Project required installation of extensive goose fencing and a schedule of regular watering and weeding.
